Aistear: Under the Sea
Here is our new Aistear Theme Under the Sea.
We have been very busy in our groups, making boats and role playing at the fish shop. Here are some photos of the groups.
Cool Dudes – Healthy Food Made Easy
5th and 6th class have been involved in the Cool Dudes cookery programme over the past two weeks. Last week’s menu included healthy pizzas and smoothies. We’re learning how to make vegetable soup and brown scones this week. The best news is that we’re really good at doing the washing up too! Have a look at some of our pictures below.
Blitz in Ballinakill
5th and 6th class had a most enjoyable afternoon in Ballinakill. Everyone, from the children who played in their first GAA match to those with more experience, participated excellently and gave their all for the school team. A special word of thanks goes out to the parents who assisted in bringing the children from the school to Ballinakill and back. Here is a picture of all the teams that participated in the Blitz with the GAA President Aogan O’ Fearghail (get your glasses on – we’re in the back left of the picture).
