Coughlan Cup Winners 2019

Moneystown NS attended the ‘Small Schools’ Day of the Coughlan Cup on Thursday 14th March. Having competed well on Day 1 of the competition they were optimistic they would preform a little better and be in contention to take the title.

Graded from Day 1 Moneystown NS were pitted against Gaelscoil Uí Chradaigh, from Bray, and Kilmacanogue NS.

Having to watch Gaelscoil Uí Cheadaigh vs Kilmacanogue play in the first game allowed the players to analysis the opposition and discuss tactics.

We played well as a team and worked some good team scores to beat Gaelscoil Uí Cheadaigh by 4 points in the first game and beat Kilmac by 9 points in the second. Having topped the group our captain, Oscar Durston, received the trophy on our behalf after the last game.

MNS at the GAA Coughlan Cup

Our ‘Senior’ Team participated in the Coughlan Cup on Friday 18th May 2018. As a small school we participated in Div. 3 and acquitted ourselves very well on the day. We were unfortunate to lose some of our games by the narrowest of margins but our players showed great sportsmanship, skills and determination during each game. Well done all
